14 dead 360's in one hour
It's no secret I do console repairs for a local game shop and I'm alarmed to find 14 dead 360's this morning when I went in. All these got cross wired trying to attain ModeB, which sucks, because I'm hosting the damn Slax cd that does this for you.
14 dead 360's in one hourIt's no secret I do console repairs for a local game shop and I'm alarmed to find 14 dead 360's this morning when I went in. All these got cross wired trying to attain ModeB,
which sucks, because I'm hosting the damn Slax cd that does this for you.
Whoever wrote the instructions for the slax CD said to
wait for a log in prompt that 95% of the time never comes. Instead if the Slax CD hangs you should eject the hitachi and if you have to press twice to close the tray
the drive is in modeb.
Get that? If you eject the drive and have to press the tray twice to close it you are in MODEB regardless if you reach the login prompt or NOT.
Do not cross wires on your drive to reach MODEB with the current diagrams. Use only this diagram below. Note that whoever released diagrams with pins starting at 0 is liable for these repairs. Also note the original site hosting those diagrams are gone. Pins are never labeled zero.
